Abstract
- In Chaos theory, It is said that even a minor perturbations of flapping wings of a butterfly several weeks earlier in south America could cause a hurricane in Mexico, which means the tiniest influence on one part of a system can have a huge effect on another part. We call that butterfly effect. As educators, we know that education can change fate, but we never know how big impact that a tiny word, a small habit could have on our kids, and then, to the world. We always say, we want our students be global citizens, but if we are not, how can we make it? So my question is : How can I be a global educator in science room?
- There are several ways to achieve that. In ECI 546, ECI 524, ECI 606, ECI 620, ECI 508 we have learned a lot of skills to help us become learner, leaders and even be competent. Teachers are born not developed, so I need to learn to be more professional and I seek for a global sense of teaching. We can use those theories and new literacy to facilitate us become global educators. Teacher leadership is an important component for the global educator ,Leaders become great, not because of their power, but because of their ability to empower others. How we empower our students is also important component of being a global educator. To be a global educator, we have also been influenced by others, some of them might be cosmopolitans, and they can always inspire us. As ourselves, we still work on it. To be a global educator, I am on the way.
- I find that We have been created in order that we might make a difference. Our actions have value far greater than silver or gold. Our life and what we do with it today matters forever. I am now to learning more and I want to be a leader. Once I become more competent, I am on the way to be a global educator. Although there might be difficulties, but I could insist and finally I can be a global educator by empowering my students to be global citizens.
